Gainsborough 10k and Half Marathon : Sturgate Airfield, November 1 2026
This event offers two road-closed races that start and finish at Sturgate Airfield near Gainsborough, passing through Lincolnshire countryside. Both routes are single-lap and run on flat, quiet country roads that include stretches of open farmland and village roads.
The course is clearly marked and each kilometre is indicated by distance flags. Marshals are positioned throughout the route to guide and support runners. Results are chip timed and the entry includes a unique themed medal, free race photos and post-race goodies.
An event village provides food and drink options and free items from partner organisations after the finish. An event t-shirt is available to purchase at a discounted price when added during entry. The organiser also reports ongoing work on sustainability measures for its events.
