Fuzzy Fandango Trail Races
The Fuzzy Fandango is a trail running event at Camp Nuhop in the Mohican area, scheduled for November 7, 2026. It offers multiple distances across natural trail terrain and supports Nuhop’s mission of providing outdoor experiences.
Race distances include:
- 1 Mile Fun Run perfect for children and families
- 5K short trail loop with dirt and varied footing
- 15K extended trail distance with additional route features
- 25K longer trail route for an extended morning in the woods
- 50K Ultra a double loop ultra with roughly 1.5 miles of road per lap
Race packets are available for pickup at Camp Nuhop on race morning with staggered pickup windows by distance. The course mixes twisty singletrack, forest roads, a new trail section, fall canopy views, and rugged terrain. Parking is assigned by distance, with the field outside Nuhop’s main gate for longer distances, Mohican Resort and Conference Center for several races (about a 0.25 mile walk to the start), and an overflow beach property about a 0.5 mile walk.
Timing is chip-based by Mid Ohio Race Management. Each entrant receives a choice of a long sleeve tech shirt or a winter hat, with an upgrade option for both, and a post-race meal and drinks including local beer from The Phoenix Brewing Company. Awards go to the top three male and female finishers at each distance except the 1 mile fun run. Entries are limited to 150 runners per distance.
