Event overview
Fur Love for Vets is a road race held on November 7, 2026 in Augusta, GA, starting and finishing at Lake Olmstead Trailhead, 1 Milledge Rd. The event offers two distances:

- 10k
A portion of the event proceeds will be donated to Train a Dog Save a Warrior (TADSAW). The race course runs along the Augusta Canal and the Savannah River.
Logistics and policies
The race is chip timed and awards are based on gun times. Finisher medals and shirts will be ordered on October 1, 2026; registrants after that date are not guaranteed a medal or shirt. Entry fees are $30 through October 1, 2026 and $35 thereafter through race day. Packet pickup is available the day before at Fleet Feet Augusta and on the morning of the event at Lake Olmstead Trailhead, and on-site registration is allowed at packet pickup.
Race organizers state there are no refunds. Water will be available on the course at each turnaround point. Complete results will be posted online on race day. For participant safety, dogs must be non-reactive to people, dogs, and wildlife, and must be on a fixed leash (no flexi or extended leashes). Dogs showing fearful or aggressive behavior will be asked to leave.
TADSAW’s mission is to train and provide medical alert service dogs at no charge to wounded veterans living with conditions such as PTSD, MST, MIADS, and traumatic brain injury. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
