Fur Love for Vets in Augusta, GA
Fur Love for Vets offers two measured distances along the Augusta Canal and the Savannah River, starting and finishing at Lake Olmstead Trailhead in Augusta, GA. A portion of event proceeds will be donated to Train a Dog Save a Warrior (TADSAW), an organization that provides trained medical alert service dogs to wounded veterans at no charge.
The event is chip timed and awards are based on gun times. Finisher medals and shirts will be ordered on October 1, 2026; participants who register after that date are not guaranteed a medal or shirt. Entry fees are set at $30 through October 1, 2026 and $35 thereafter through race day. There are no refunds.
Safety and animal control guidelines are stated for this event. Dogs must be non-reactive to people, other dogs, and wildlife. Dogs that display fearful or aggressive behavior will be asked to leave. All dogs must be on a fixed leash; flexi or extended leashes are not permitted. Water will be available on the course at each turnaround point. Complete results will be posted online on race day.
