About the race
The Aiken Trailblazer takes place on October 24, 2026 at Stable View, 117 Stable Drive, Aiken, SC. The event uses the trails of a 1,000+ acre equestrian facility with longleaf pines and forested canopy.
Distances include:
- Mummifying Marathon: 26.2 Miles
- Headless Horseman Half Marathon: 13.1 Miles
- Thriller 10K
- Frightening 5K
- Kooky Kids Fun Run: 1K
The trail system features sand, clay, soil and grass surfaces, with some single track on the half and marathon routes. The marathon route includes two to three road crossings. Aid stations with water and Nuun are located along the courses. The start and finish share the same location near the Pavilion.
All participants receive a finisher's medal and a t-shirt. Long sleeve shirts are guaranteed for orders placed by October 15; short sleeve shirts are available while supplies last. Post-race food is provided by The Bistro at Stable View. Restrooms and hot showers are available on site.
Overall awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in the half marathon, 10K, and 5K. Age-group awards follow the listed categories: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, and 75-79.
Costume contest entries are automatic for participants in costume, with awards for Most Unique, The Scariest, Best Superhero, and Best Family and Friends Group.
Stable View offers on-site lodging and RV hook ups, with weekday rates applied to stays October 23–25, 2026. Packet pick up is at the Pavilion on Friday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm and on Saturday from 7:00 am to 8:30 am. The event is held rain or shine and there are no refunds.
