Fur-k Wag, Walk & Run
The Fur-k Wag, Walk & Run is a third annual fundraising event featuring a 4 km human and dog walk or run in Brunswick, Georgia. The route starts and finishes at Silver Bluff Brewing and is presented by Lou Sobh Kia of Brunswick with co-hosting by the Golden Isles Track Club.
Registration for the event includes a quality event T-shirt and admission for one friendly, leashed dog; a second dog may join for an additional $10. A registration fee of $30 applies to the initial entry. Participants may also enter without a dog. Price increases take effect October 1 and the deadline to guarantee a T-shirt is October 25. General registration closes October 13, 2026. A reduced entry rate of 50% is available for participants who complete the required shelter dog form prior to signing up; the deadline to arrange a shelter dog companion is 5 PM on Tuesday, November 10.
Proceeds benefit Grateful Cats/Canines Allies and Supporters (GCAS), an organization that supports Glynn County Animal Services through fundraising, networking and advocacy. The event does not award human medals and is organized to raise funds and awareness for shelter animals in Glynn County. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
