Dog-Friendly Fundraising Run in Brunswick
The Fur-k Wag, Walk & Run is an annual fundraising event held in Brunswick, Georgia. This event features a specific distance for participants:

The course for this 4 km walk or run starts and finishes at Silver Bluff Brewing. It is a dog-friendly event that allows participants to complete the route with up to two friendly, leashed dogs. Individuals may also choose to participate without a dog. Registration includes an event T-shirt for those who sign up by the guaranteed deadline in late October.
This event is co-hosted by the Golden Isles Track Club and serves as a fundraiser for Grateful Cats/Canines Allies and Supporters (GCAS). The proceeds are used to benefit shelter animals at Glynn County Animal Services through advocacy and networking.
A unique feature of this event is the opportunity to participate with a shelter dog. Interested individuals can coordinate with the organizers to "check out" a shelter animal to serve as a companion for the duration of the event. Participants who choose this option receive a reduced entry fee. There are no medals awarded for this event, as the focus is on a non-competitive atmosphere.
