Fur-k Wag, Walk & Run
Fur-k Wag, Walk & Run is a third annual fundraising 4K human and dog walk or run that starts and finishes at Silver Bluff Brewing in Brunswick, Georgia. The event accepts participants with or without dogs and permits one or two friendly leashed dogs per entry.
Registration includes an event T-shirt. The initial entry fee covers the first dog; a second dog is allowed for an additional $10. The standard registration fee is $30. Price increases on October 14 and standard registration closes on October 13. The deadline to guarantee a T-shirt is October 25. Participants who arrange to take a shelter dog as a temporary race companion may receive a 50 percent discount on the entry fee when approved by the organizer; the deadline to sign up to take a shelter dog is November 10.
Proceeds benefit Grateful Cats/Canines Allies and Supporters, an organization that supports Glynn County Animal Services through fundraising, networking and advocacy. The event is co hosted by the Golden Isles Track Club. There are no human medals awarded for the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
