Annual Fun Run for Charities
The Annual Fun Run for Charities is a community fundraising event located in Red Lodge, Montana. This event supports a wide range of local non-profit organizations through participant involvement and donations. The activities are centered around Lions Park, where charity and registration booths are situated on the day of the event.
Participants can choose from three distinct distances:
- 10 km (6.2 miles)
- 5 km (3.1 miles)
- 2 miles
The 10 km course begins in downtown Red Lodge and heads south through residential neighborhoods. It offers views toward the Beartooth Pass before turning around at Perry's RV and returning via US 212 to finish at Lions Park. The 5 km route also starts in the historic downtown area and weaves through local neighborhoods to reach the same finish line. The 2 mile option follows a paved loop through the downtown streets and nearby residential areas.
All registered participants receive a commemorative T-shirt. Awards are presented to overall winners and age-category leaders. Additionally, prizes are distributed for creative categories including individual, group, and dog costumes. Bibs and shirts are available for collection in the days leading up to the race at the Red Lodge Area Community Foundation office or on the morning of the event at the park.
