Fueling Education Fun Run & Walk
The event is a community run and walk centered on the Washington Park loop in Anacortes, Washington, with proceeds supporting the Anacortes Schools Foundation. The in-person portion takes place at the address 6300 Sunset Ave, Anacortes, WA 98221; a virtual option is also offered.
Distances and event formats include:
- 2.3 miles, Fun Run and Walk (in-person)
- 0.33 miles, Kids Race (in-person)
- 2.3 miles, Virtual Race
The in-person 2.3 mile loop will be clearly marked and supported by volunteers to help participants follow the correct route. The kids race uses a fully blocked course for safety and is organized into four age groups: 4 and under; 5-6 years; 7-8 years; and 9-10 years. Organizers note children will remain within eyesight during the kids race. There will be an awards ceremony for in-person participants.
Registration details from the organizer: registration opens June 1, 2026. In-person registration closes September 17, 2026; virtual registration closes September 20, 2026. Published registration fees are $10 for the 2.3 mile run or virtual entry and $5 for the kids race. Virtual participants may complete 2.3 miles at a location of their choosing and are not required to submit a time or proof. A guaranteed T-shirt size requires sign-up by September 1, 2026; mailed T-shirts incur an additional $5 fee to cover postage and logistics.
