Frosty Feet Half Marathon
The Frosty Feet Half Marathon is a point-to-point running race in Fairbanks, Alaska, covering 13.1 Miles. The course begins at The Plant Kingdom on Fideler Road and follows a mix of paved roads, dirt sections, neighborhood streets, and multi-use bike and pedestrian paths before finishing near Alaskaland.
After leaving Fideler Road the route becomes Echo Acres Drive and turns right at Cessna Way, then follows Cavu Way and Air Park Drive before returning to Echo Acres Drive. Runners rejoin a bike and pedestrian path along Farmer's Loop Road at just over three miles, with the path crossing near Ski Boot Hill Road. The course continues onto North Tanana Drive to reach the UAF campus, follows Tanana Loop around the east side of campus, and uses a path past the UAF Community Garden toward West Valley High School. Runners continue along Sandvik Street to the University Avenue pedestrian crossing and then follow a bike path toward Johansen Expressway and Peger Road.
At Peger Road the route crosses under the Johansen Expressway bridge, returns to the bike path toward Phillips Field Road, and crosses the Chena River Bridge. The final approach follows a bike path under the bridge toward Alaskaland, turns in at Alaskaland Lane by Canoe Alaska, and finishes near the pavilion across from the Pioneer Playground and Moose Creek Picnic Shelter.
Registration opens May 18, 2026 and closes June 1, 2026; the listed registration fee is $90.00. Organizers state an aim to grow participation in the Interior Alaska running community. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
