Frost Town Trail Festival takes place in Naples, NY at 6472 Gulick Rd. It is a trail running event offering two distances that use the RMSC Cumming Nature Center trails and nearby public lands.
- 25K single loop around Cumming Nature Center and Honeoye Inlet Wildlife Management Area
- 10K runnable course within the Cumming Nature Center trail system
The 25K is a single large loop that circumnavigates both the Cumming Nature Center and the Honeoye Inlet Wildlife Management Area. The route begins with a steep winding ascent and descent on historic logging roads, continues through the well maintained Cumming Nature Center trail network, and then crosses less traveled and more rugged terrain along the Rattlesnake Hill ridgeline east of Lake Honeoye. There are three on-course aid stations spaced at roughly four mile intervals.
The 10K follows trails within the Cumming Nature Center with less elevation gain and a more runnable profile. It is presented as an option for a first 10K trail run or as a faster trail loop for experienced runners.
Routes explore trails in the Bristol Hills and adjacent DEC landscapes. Race proceeds support environmental education programming at the RMSC Cumming Nature Center. Registration closes Thu, Jun 4 at 5:00 PM ET. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
