Event
The Frost Town Trail Fest takes place on June 6, 2026, at the RMSC Cumming Nature Center in Naples, New York. The event offers trail races of 25k and 10k, plus a 3k fun run for younger participants. Proceeds support environmental education programming at the Cumming Nature Center. The race routes run through the Bristol Hills and adjacent DEC-managed Honeoye Inlet Wildlife Management Area.
Course and logistics
The 25k is a single-loop trail that circumnavigates the Cumming Nature Center and part of the Honeoye Inlet Wildlife Management Area. The route includes a steep winding ascent and descent on historic logging roads, maintained Nature Center trails, and less-traveled rugged sections along the Rattlesnake Hill ridgeline east of Honeoye Lake. The 10k uses the core Cumming Nature Center trail system with less elevation gain and more runnable terrain. Aid station support is provided: three stations on the 25k at roughly 4-mile intervals and one station on the 10k. The event is cup-free; participants should bring a bottle or reusable cup for refueling. A 4-hour course cutoff applies to the 25k. The first 100 registered entrants are guaranteed a t-shirt, and post-race food and on-course basic first aid supplies are provided. Registration opens November 15, with an early pricing deadline on March 1 and online registration closing June 4. Registration refunds are not offered. Spectators and crews may access the course, but vehicle access is available only at the start/finish area. Environmental precautions note the presence of Japanese Stiltgrass on the route and recommend cleaning footwear before and after the event.
