The Frost or Fog event is scheduled for Saturday, January 24, 2026, in Chico, California (357 Centennial Dr, 95928). It offers the following distances:

• 10-Mile
• Quarter Marathon
• 5K

Registration for the events closes on January 23, 2026. Entry fees listed on the event page are $54 for the 10-mile and $48.70 for the quarter marathon and 5K (fees included). Klean Kanteen is listed as a sponsor and provides prizes for the top three men and top three women in each distance. Pre-race coffee is provided by Bidwell Perk. A hooded shirt giveaway is not guaranteed for registrants after December 30, 2025.

Course descriptions

All courses start on the levee between 5 Mile Recreation Area and Hooker Oak Park in Upper Bidwell Park. The courses use a mix of gravel, trail and road surfaces.

• The 10-Mile route follows the levee, crosses at the bridge, runs parallel to Wild Wood and Upper Park Roads, continues on the bike path and Upper Park Road to a turnaround where B Trail meets Upper Park Road, then returns to the bike path and finishes after crossing the creek bridge.

• The Quarter Marathon follows a similar path to just past Bear Hole parking lot before returning to the bike path and finishing over the creek bridge.

• The 5K follows the levee and trail, diverts into the Rod & Gun Club parking lot, then returns to the bike path and finishes across the creek bridge. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
