Bidwell Classic 5K, 10K and Half Marathon
The Bidwell Classic is a running event held in Lower Bidwell Park at Sycamore Field in Chico, California on March 6, 2027. It offers three distances and uses chip timing with a gun start; timing is provided by Bizz Johnson Racing.

Course details note the 5K and 10K are flat, freshly paved, and traffic-free. The half marathon includes about a quarter mile of single-track trail on each loop. All courses start and finish at the One Mile Recreation Area in Lower Bidwell Park. Aid stations and restrooms are provided: 2 aid stations for the 5K, 3 for the 10K, and 6 for the half marathon, with potable water, electrolytes, and some nutrition options on select stations.
Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. A portion of race entry fees supports local high school cross country programs. Race shirts are provided to registrants who register by February 5, 2027; later shirt sizes are based on availability at packet pickup. Packet pickup is available at Fleet Feet Chico before race day and at a race day tent for a limited time. A cash prize purse is offered to the top male and female in each race, and age-group awards are given for multiple age categories. Free secure bike valet will be available by Chico Velo.
