Frost Eagle Trail Run
Frost Eagle Trail Run is scheduled for January 16, 2027 at Soaring Eagle Regional Park in Sammamish, WA. The event is part of the 2026-27 Winter Trail Series and offers two course options:
- 5 mile
- Half Marathon
The park covers about six hundred acres of forest and wetlands and contains roughly twelve miles of multiuse trails. The trail network is arranged like a spider’s web with a wide Pipeline Trail through the center and many interconnected singletrack trails that twist and turn over small rises. Courses feature rolling hills that are mostly short or moderate in grade, stretches of technical singletrack with rocks and roots, and a short section on the Pipeline Trail that is mostly groomed gravel but can be muddy.
Both courses form a figure 8; the Half Marathon is run as a loop twice while the 5 mile is one loop. The primary aid station sits at the intersection of the figure 8 so runners pass it multiple times; Half Marathon runners also have an additional aid station adjacent to the start and finish. Aid stations provide water, electrolyte drink and a selection of carbohydrate and salty foods.
Event-day parking is at the park main entrance on the west side in a paved lot with no parking pass required. Street parking is available on the south side of E Main Dr; the north side is signed No Parking. The lot is small so many participants will use street parking and may need time to walk or jog to the start area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
