Event overview
Frost Eagle Trail Run is scheduled for January 17 and is part of the 2025-26 Winter Trail Series. The event offers two distance choices and is listed as the sixth event in the series.
- 5-mile
- Half Marathon
Location, course and logistics
The run is held at Soaring Eagle Regional Park in Sammamish, WA. The park covers about 600 acres and contains roughly 12 miles of trails. Trails are arranged around a central Pipeline Trail with a network of interconnected singletrack that is narrow, twisty, and often full of roots and rocks. Courses feature rolling hills that are mostly short or moderate in grade.
Both courses form a figure 8. The primary aid station is at the intersection of the figure 8 so runners pass it twice per lap; half marathoners pass it four times and 5-mile runners twice. A second aid station near the start/finish serves half marathoners between laps. Aid stations provide water, electrolyte drink, and a variety of carbohydrate-rich or salty foods.
The start and finish are at the park main entrance on the west side where a paved lot is available. No parking pass is required, but the lot is small and many participants will need to park on the street. Day-of-event registration is available by cash, card, or check. Any runner under 20 is eligible for a $10 discount on registration prices. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
