Frost Eagle Trail Run
The Frost Eagle Trail Run takes place at Soaring Eagle Regional Park in Sammamish, Washington. This event is the sixth installment of the 2026-27 Winter Trail Series. Participants can choose between two course distances:
- 5-mile
- Half Marathon
The event is held in a 600-acre park featuring forest and wetlands. The terrain consists of a network of interconnected trails radiating from the wide, gravel-surfaced Pipeline Trail. Most of the route utilizes technical singletrack paths characterized by roots, bumps, and frequent turns. While there are no major climbs, the course includes rolling hills with short to moderate grades.
A primary aid station is situated at the intersection of a figure-8 loop, allowing 5-mile participants to pass it twice and Half Marathon runners to pass it four times. Half Marathon runners also have access to an additional aid station near the start/finish area between their two laps. Aid stations provide water, electrolyte drinks, and various snacks such as energy bars, gels, fruit, and salty foods.
The park is a natural habitat for wildlife including birds, deer, bobcats, and black bears. The event is USATF sanctioned, and dogs are not permitted on the course.
