Frogman 5K Trail Run

The Frogman 5K Trail Run takes place in Jacksonville, North Carolina, a city home to Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune and Marine Corps Air Station New River. The event was established in 2012 by the Campbell family to honor SOC (SEAL) Christopher Campbell and his teammates. The race supports combat wounded veterans and the outdoors through proceeds benefiting SE Outdoors and the Jacksonville-Onslow Sports Commission.

Participants can choose from the following event options:

  • 5k Trail Run Only: A trail run or walk conducted on a flat, wooded course across the property known as the 400-acres.
  • Virtual 5k: Remote participation option for those unable to attend the in-person event.
  • Stroller Child Participant: A category for children aged 5 and under who remain in a stroller during the course.

The in-person 5k course is a specific route created for this event with a time limit of two hours. Finisher medals are awarded to all participants who complete the course, with additional medals for the top-overall male and female, masters winners, and first-place finishers in each age division.

The event site does not provide on-site parking for participants; a shuttle service is used to transport runners to the location. T-shirts are available as an additional purchase for those who register before the March deadline. Due to insurance requirements, dogs are not permitted at the event with the exception of service animals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
