Event overview
Froggy Mountain Warrior 100 is a winter group 100-mile run near Galax, VA on Feb 21, 2026. The event is organized as an informal, non-permitted group run and serves as a fundraiser for the veterans organization 22toomany. Entry cost includes a lowkey buckle inscribed with the organizer's artwork; the remaining funds after fees will be donated to 22toomany. Register before Feb 1 to receive the buckle at the run, otherwise it will be mailed afterward.
Course and logistics
The course is a 10-mile loop repeated ten times to total 100 miles. The loop includes a 7.2-mile out-and-back on a gravel road with a 3.1-mile climb and descent, a 1.35-mile out-and-back on a moderately technical trail, and a short road jog to complete the loop. The full course has approximately 15,000 ft of elevation gain. Some gravel road sections can be slick with ice; February weather may include cold, snow, or freezing rain. The event will likely have limited aid, but participants should plan to be largely self-sufficient. A soft cutoff of 40 hours applies; participants who exceed that cutoff may still receive the buckle.
