Logistics and services
Aid stations are placed along the course for the 100k, 50k, 25k, and 10k with specific mile locations for each distance. Stations are stocked with electrolyte drink, water, Coke, PB&J, salty snacks, candy, and fruit; hot food is available at selected stations. This is a cupless race; runners must carry at least one water bottle or cup because no disposable cups are provided.
Drop bags are allowed for 50k and 100k runners and must be left at the Start/Finish area on race morning; bags are delivered to the Cliffview turnaround and returned to the finish area by 4 PM. Packet pickup occurs at the Start/Finish area on the Friday night before the race and with specified race-day pickup windows. Parking requires a Virginia State Parks fee of $7 per day unless a valid pass is held.
Registration closes the day before the event. There are no entry fee refunds; transfers and certain rollovers are permitted. Awards include overall and age-group placements for male, female, and nonbinary categories. 100k finishers receive a buckle. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
