About the race
Froggy Mountain 100 is a trail running event held June 18, 2027 in Galax, VA, organized by Froggy Mountain Adventures. The event offers both long and shorter ultramarathon options on private trails through a small mountain forest.

The course follows a roughly one mile trail that meanders through forested terrain and averages about 500 feet of climb per mile. Cumulative climb is listed as 50,000 feet for the 100 mile race and 25,000 feet for the 50 mile race. Both distances have a 60 hour cutoff. Pacers are allowed after 50 kilometers. Aid support includes an aid station near every mile with hot food served throughout the event, a secondary on-course water station, and camping toilets.
Runners and crews have free car or tent camping on site. Packet pickup is available beginning Thursday the 17th. The organizer offers a mobile home Airbnb with a queen bed for $50 a night and a king bed with private bath for $60 a night; the main house provides access to indoor showers, flushing toilets, and kitchen amenities for crews and runners. All 100 mile finishers receive a custom buckle and 50 mile finishers receive a Froggy medal; late registrants may have buckles shipped after the event.
The 100 mile buckle also serves as a tribute to those who have served and to participants impacted by loss, honoring those killed in action and those who died by suicide. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
