Froggy Mountain 100

Froggy Mountain 100 is a trail ultramarathon held in Galax, Virginia, organized by Froggy Mountain Adventures. The event offers two official distances:

• 100 miles with 50,000 feet of cumulative climb
• 50 miles with 25,000 feet of cumulative climb

The course uses a private one mile trail that loops through a mountain forest and gains about 500 feet per mile. Both the 50 mile and 100 mile events have a 60 hour cutoff. Pacers are permitted after 50 kilometers. Runners can expect aid stations roughly every mile; hot food is served at the main aid station throughout the event. Free car and tent camping is available for runners and their crews. Organizers provide camping toilets on course and a small secondary aid or water station.

All 100 mile finishers receive a custom buckle; 50 mile finishers receive a Froggy medal. Packet pickup and crew area setup are available starting after 4pm on Thursday the 17th. The event includes on site accommodation options in a mobile home Airbnb with nightly rates listed by the organizer and access to indoor showers, flushing toilets, and kitchen amenities for crews and runners.
