Event Overview
The Frog Hill event takes place in Waynesville, Missouri, featuring several road races held over two days in early October. Participants can choose from multiple distances that showcase the local landscape and landmarks of the Ozarks. The event schedule includes:
- 5 km (Leapfrog 5k)
- 10 km
- Half Marathon
- Frog Hill Challenge (5 km plus 10 km or Half Marathon)
The 5 km race follows a flat out and back course starting and ending at Waynesville Park. For those seeking a longer distance, the 10 km and Half Marathon courses begin at East Elementary and conclude at Waynesville Park. These routes lead runners along the banks of the Roubidoux Creek, offering views of the autumn foliage and the landmark known as Frog Rock.
A shuttle service is provided to transport participants from the finish line back to the starting area on Saturday. The event coincides with the local Fall Fest held at the park. Runners who complete both the Friday evening 5 km and a Saturday morning distance are eligible for the Frog Hill Challenge medal. Registration for children between the ages of 6 and 18 is available for free with a specific code, which includes a finisher medal but excludes a race shirt.
