Bad Dawg Ultra : Waynesville, MO
The Bad Dawg Ultra is a multi-distance endurance event held in Waynesville, Missouri. It is presented as a no-frills outing that supports the OneSolePurpose project to provide a new pair of shoes to every elementary student in local Title 1 school districts.
The course is an out-and-back 10 mile loop on packed gravel with tree lined country views and rolling hills. There are two aid stations, one fully stocked at the start and another at the turnaround that is minimally stocked. Both aid stations provide water and Gatorade and have basic aid station food and bathrooms.
Awards and finish items are given by distance. Participants must wear their bib on the front and announce their bib number when entering the turnaround aid station. If a runner withdraws, they must notify event staff. Camping on site is permitted on a first come, first serve basis. Shirts are not included with registration but can be purchased at registration.
Additional operational details include packet pickup and a pasta dinner the day before the event. Pacers are allowed only for the 100 mile and 100 kilometer distances after mile 50 and must check in before joining a runner. The event offers awards for overall male and female finishers.
