Bad Dawg Ultra, Waynesville MO (August 15-16, 2026)
The Bad Dawg Ultra Endurance Run is the sixth annual edition held in Waynesville, Missouri. The event offers multiple race distances and supports the OneSolePurpose project to provide a new pair of shoes to every elementary student in Title 1 school districts.
Distances include:
- 100 miles (Bad Dawg Hundred)
- 100 kilometers
- 50 miles
- 50 kilometers
- 12 miles
The course is a 10 mile out and back loop with packed gravel, rolling hills typical of the Ozarks, and tree-lined country views. There is a fully stocked aid station near the start and a minimally stocked aid station at the turnaround; both provide water, Gatorade, typical aid station food, and restroom facilities. All turnarounds are marked.
Loop and routing details are provided for each distance: 12 milers run 6 miles out and 6 miles back; 50k and 100k participants follow specified additional loops after initial out and back segments; 50 mile and 100 mile competitors complete multiple loops accordingly. Pacers are permitted only for the 100k and 100 mile distances after mile 50 and must check in before joining a runner. Pacers including cyclists are not allowed for other distances.
Awards are given for overall male and female in each distance. Finishers of the longer races receive custom memorabilia. Camping on site is allowed on a first come, first serve basis. Well behaved pets are permitted. Bibs must be worn on the front and announced at the turnaround aid station. If a runner withdraws they must notify event staff.
