Event Overview
The Bad Dawg Ultra Endurance Run takes place in Waynesville, Missouri. The event supports the OneSolePurpose project, which aims to provide new shoes to elementary students in Title 1 school districts.
Distances and Course
The event offers several distances:
- 100 miles
- 100 kilometers
- 50 miles
- 50 kilometers
- 12 miles (run or ruck option)
The course is a 10-mile out-and-back loop on packed gravel with rolling hills, typical of the Ozarks. Different distances complete a varying number of these loops. The route features tree-lined country views.
Logistics and Amenities
The event starts at an address on Red Oak Road. On-site camping is allowed on a first-come, first-served basis. A free pasta dinner is offered the evening before the event, requiring an RSVP. Packet pickup is available the day before; race day pickup requires coordination with the race director.
Two aid stations are on the course: one fully stocked at the start/finish and a minimally stocked one at the turnaround. Both provide water, Gatorade, and typical aid station food, and have bathrooms.
Rules and Participant Information
For the 100-mile and 100-kilometer distances, pacers are allowed after the 50-mile point and must check in. Pacers are not permitted for any other distance. Well-behaved pets are allowed. Race bibs must be worn on the front at all times.
Awards and Souvenirs
Overall awards are given for male and female participants in all distances. 100-mile, 100k, 50-mile, and 50k finishers receive a custom belt buckle and bumper sticker. All 12-mile runners receive a medal, and 12-mile ruckers receive a patch. 100-mile finishers also receive a custom gym bag.
