About the race
Frigid 10K and Frosty 5K is a running event in Hamilton, Ontario on March 7, 2027. In-person activities are based at HMCS STAR on Catharine Street North and at The Discovery Centre on Discovery Drive.
The event offers two measured race options, with course formats published by the organizer: the 10 km is a double loop and the 5 km is an out-and-back route.
A virtual option is available. Virtual participants can track and submit results using the ASICS Runkeeper app or submit results manually. Virtual entrants receive a finisher shirt and a medal, and race kits can be mailed or picked up at scheduled kit pickup locations.
Race kits include a long sleeve technical shirt for those who register early; men's and women's sizing is offered and color options include a yellow reflective edition and navy. A medal is provided to finishers. Limited event merchandise is offered separately, including a quilted running vest available in five colors.
Fundraising and community support are part of the event. Donations support the Mental Health and Addictions Program at Joseph Brant Hospital and non-perishable food items will be collected for Hamilton Food Share. Tax receipts are issued for donations of CAD 20.00 or more.
If the in-person event cannot proceed as planned, it will be switched to a virtual race; in that case no refunds will be issued but race kits will still be provided and results may be submitted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
