The 2026 Frigid 10K and Frosty 5K takes place on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at the Discovery Centre, 57 Discovery Dr, Hamilton, ON, Canada. The event is organized by VR Pro Inc and offers both in-person and virtual participation options. Distances:

The in-person 10 km is listed as a double-loop route and the 5 km is an out-and-back route. Race kit pickup is scheduled for March 12 and March 13 at the Stoney Creek Running Room (Mountain Locks Plaza, 1791 Stone Church Rd E, Stoney Creek, ON) and on race day at the Discovery Centre. If the in-person event cannot proceed as planned, it will be switched to a virtual race; in that case registration fees will not be refunded but participants will still receive their race kit and can submit virtual results.
Participation, items and fundraising
The event raises funds for the Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation, supporting the Mental Health and Addictions Program, and for Hamilton Food Share. Hamilton Food Share is described as the city’s emergency food shipping and receiving hub, supporting 16 member agencies and 22 programs; it reports over 10,400 visits per month and 29,000 hot meals served per month. Tax receipts are issued for donations of CA$20.00 or more. Non-perishable food items will also be collected at the race.
Race kits include a long-sleeve ASICS technical shirt for early registrants and a finisher medal. Virtual participants receive a finisher shirt and medal and can track and submit results using the ASICS Runkeeper app; virtual entries can be completed between February 26, 2026 and March 31, 2026.
