Frightening 5K - Evansville
The event is a 5K held at the Vanderburgh 4-H Center in Darmstadt, Indiana on October 25, 2026. The course uses roads throughout the fairgrounds and several portions of the route have crushed gravel. The start and finish are located behind the banquet hall; attendees are asked to enter through the main fairgrounds entrance and drive back to the banquet hall.
Registration fees are tiered: $30 until August 15, $35 until October 12, and $40 until race day. A $5 reduction applies for a medal-only option. A discount code is available for groups of four or more. All sales are final and shirts are guaranteed only to registrations completed by October 10.
Shirts are Tultex brand soft cotton in unisex sizing. Early shirt and bib pick up plus late registration are scheduled at Ultimate Fit on October 23 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., with additional pick up on race day at the 4-H Center from 10:15 to 10:45 a.m. Di-cast finisher medals are awarded to all who finish the 5K.
Awards include top three overall male and female finishers and age-group awards for both sexes in these divisions: 13 and under; 14-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80 and over.
