About the race
The Fright Night 5K is a community running event held in Downtown Monroe on October 29, 2026. The course begins and ends at Flying Tiger Brewery, located at 506 N. 2nd Street, Monroe, LA 71201, and passes through the downtown area with staged spooky elements and costumed characters along the route.
The event includes a 5K run and is described as family-friendly; walkers are explicitly welcome. Registered participants receive a free drink from Flying Tiger Brewery after finishing. Post-race activities include custom finisher medals, age group awards, a costume contest, and live music featuring the Jackson Culp Band.
Registration opens on August 31, 2026 and closes on October 29, 2026. The registration fee for the 5K is $40.00. Participation benefits the Downtown Monroe Main Street Volunteer Board and supports their work on downtown events and programming.
