Friends of the Poor Walk at OLG Encino
The Friends of the Poor Walk at Our Lady of Grace Church in Encino is a community walk that supports the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) at the parish. The route is a leisurely, mostly flat 2.7-mile course through the neighborhood south and west of the church. The event is open to all ages and accepts in-person registration on site.
This walk raises funds for local emergency aid provided by SVdP, including help with food, housing, utility bills, clothing, and other basic needs. Funds raised remain in the community to support neighbors facing hardship.
Registration for the event is free. Registration opens July 3, 2026 and closes October 3, 2026. On-site registration is also available the day of the event. Participants may attend Mass at the parish before the walk if they wish to receive a walker's blessing.
