Hansen Dam Splash and Dash is a community running event at Hansen Dam Recreation Area in Sylmar, California. The event offers two distances:

• 5K
• 1K - kids age 10 and under run free with an adult entry

The running portion is followed by an all-day pool party and community celebration at the Hansen Dam Aquatic Center. The day includes music and DJs, vendor booths, raffles, and a range of aquatic activities. Organised programming listed for the celebration includes hands-on CPR demonstrations, beginner kayak and surf instruction, and a splash ball tournament in the zero-entry zone.

The event supports Citywide Aquatics programs that provide affordable swim lessons, water safety education, and expanded access to aquatic recreation for youth and families across Los Angeles. The race is hosted by the Los Angeles Parks Foundation in partnership with the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks.
