Courses, logistics and awards
The 5K and 13K use fully paved courses next to the sand; both are described as net downhill with the finish line 43 feet below the start. The 13K route includes a loop-and-a-half on the bluff road and a section on the service road beside the sand. Water stations are located at miles 0.75, 3.85, 4.75, and 6.5 on the 13K; the 5K has a water station near the halfway point.
The Kids 1K is an out-and-back course; parents may run or walk with children at no cost and the event is open to ages 11 and under. The 14 mile bike ride is untimed for solo participation; combined bike-and-run entries include bike jersey and two medals. Parking is on-site in multiple lots; participants are advised not to park in the third lot if they need to leave early.
