Friends of the Poor Walk at St Thomas More Catholic Church
The Friends of the Poor Walk is scheduled for September 26, 2026 at St Thomas More Catholic Church in Austin, Texas. The walk follows a 1 mile loop around the church campus and begins from Holtman Hall. After completing the loop, participants return to Holtman Hall for breakfast and fellowship.
The post-walk program includes a presentation by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, door prize drawings for attendees, and a silent auction. Proceeds from the event benefit the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, which provides emergency financial assistance for rent, utilities and other needs for people facing unexpected hardships.
Participation is offered both in person and virtually. Registration is free; registration opens June 8, 2026 and closes September 26, 2026. T-shirts are available for purchase with registration through September 21, 2026.
