Friends of Kensico Cemetery 5K Run/Walk
The Friends of Kensico Cemetery 5K Run and Walk is a community charity event scheduled for Sunday, October 25, 2026, at Kensico Cemetery and Arboretum in Valhalla, New York. The event supports Friends of The Kensico Cemetery and the Westchester Fund for Historic and Cultural Preservation in partnership with The New York Community Trust.

The 5K route begins near Mineola Lake and routes runners over local roads and cemetery drives, with directional signage posted at turns. A shorter 1.7 mile walking route follows a separate path up Seneca Avenue to the Tower and returns via Tecumseh to the lake. Water stations are provided on both routes and restrooms are available at the maintenance building where event activities are centered. Strollers and dogs on leashes are permitted.
Registration fees are listed for standard and youth categories, and on site registration is available at a higher fee. Registration includes a two part catered breakfast and an event t shirt. Raffle tickets are sold for cash only. The event is timed for runners by Chronotrack and Super Race Systems. Awards are presented to the top three men and top three women.
