Friends of Kensico Cemetery 5K Run/Walk
The Friends of Kensico Cemetery 5K Run/Walk is a charity event held at Kensico Cemetery & Arboretum in Valhalla, NY on Sunday, October 25, 2026. The course and walking routes pass through scenic grounds with fall foliage, lakes, and notable cemetery architecture. Standard registration is $50 and children 12 and under register for $15; both include a two-part catered breakfast and a free event t-shirt. Day-of registration is available at $55 for standard and $20 for children 12 and under. Registration fees are nonrefundable.
Facilities and services include water stations along the routes, restroom access at the maintenance building, event timing by Chronotrack and Super Race Systems, and posted race results and photos after the event. Awards will be presented to the top three men and top three women, and raffle prize drawings will follow the awards; raffle tickets are cash only. The event is stroller and dog friendly with dogs required to be on leashes. The event proceeds support preservation and cultural initiatives in the local community.
