Event Overview
The Friends Homes Spring in Your Step 5K & Fun Run is an annual community event held in Greensboro, North Carolina. Now in its fourth year, the event takes place on the grounds of Friends Homes. The primary goal of the gathering is to support the Resident Financial Assistance Campaign, which provides aid to residents facing unexpected hardships.

Course and Registration
The courses for both the 5K and the Fun Run begin at the Wellness Center roundabout. Registration is available in advance or on the day of the event. Entry fees vary based on the date of registration, with early rates available through January and standard rates applying until the day of the race.
Event t-shirts are provided to participants who register by the specified cutoff date in early April. For those registering later, shirts are distributed according to availability. Children aged 10 and under can participate for free, though they do not receive a timing bib. They have the option to purchase an event shirt separately.
Amenities and Recognition
The event includes music, food, and an awards ceremony following the conclusion of the runs. Recognition is given to the top three overall male and female finishers in the 5K. Additionally, age group awards are presented to the first-place male and female finishers in categories ranging from 10 and under to 90-99.
