Friedberg JCC 5K Run/Walk
The Friedberg JCC 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for May 2027 and is set to take place at Baldwin Park, 3232 Grand Ave., Baldwin, NY 11510. Registration is not yet open; the organizer provides a notification option so interested participants can be alerted when registration opens.
The event supports the Friedberg JCC Parkinson's Programs. Proceeds benefit Parkinson's-related classes and services offered by the JCC, which include exercise options such as boxing and Tai Chi, as well as lectures and support groups for people with Parkinson's and their caregivers.
The event features a 5K run/walk on a certified, flat course that lies entirely within Baldwin Park. Amenities listed by the organizer include T shirts for early registrants, swag bags, and fruit and waters. Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in the following age groups: 11 and under, 12 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over.
Bib pickup is available in person with a self lookup area for bib numbers; virtual entries receive bibs by mail with a shipping window from one week before to one week after the event.
