Friedberg JCC 5K Run/Walk 2027
The Friedberg JCC 5K Run/Walk is presented as an event for mid-May 2027; a prior edition was held on May 17, 2026 at Baldwin Park, 3232 Grand Ave., Baldwin, NY. Registration is not yet open.
The course is a certified, flat and easy 5K contained entirely within Baldwin Park. An awards ceremony is held at the finish area immediately following the race.
Proceeds support the Parkinson's Programs at the Friedberg JCC. The JCC offers ongoing programs for people with Parkinson's, including exercise classes such as boxing and Tai Chi, lectures and support groups for those diagnosed and their caregivers.
Participant amenities listed include T-shirts for early registrants, swag bags, and fruit and water. Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in age groups: 11 and under, 12-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus.
Bib pickup is available in person starting one hour before the event and a self-lookup area is provided for bib numbers. Virtual entries receive bibs by mail within a shipping window that may range from one week before to one week after the event.
