About the race
The Friedberg JCC 5K Run/Walk on May 16, 2027 takes place at Baldwin Park in Baldwin, New York. The event is organized to raise funds for the Friedberg JCC Parkinson's Programs; proceeds support classes, lectures and support groups for people with Parkinson's and their caregivers. Registration is not yet open. The event site offers a notification option for when registration becomes available.
Previous race information and past results are provided online. The course is a certified, flat and easy loop contained within Baldwin Park. An awards ceremony follows the finish line with prizes for the top three male and female overall finishers and top three male and female finishers in each age group: 11 and under, 12-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. Amenities listed for registrants include T-shirts for those who register early, swag bags, fruit and bottled water. Bib pickup is available in person on event day through event staff; a Self Lookup is provided for participants who need their bib number.
Virtual participants receive bibs by mail within a shipping window from one week before to one week after the event. Live online, email and text results are offered, along with free video and same-day finish line photos. Miscellaneous race photos are posted on Facebook.
