Fresno Turkey Trot at Woodward Park

The Fresno Turkey Trot is an annual community event held on Thanksgiving morning at the Woodward Park Mountain View Shelter. This marks the 27th year of the event, which provides support for the Central California Food Bank and the Coach Ray Knight Youth and Scholarship Programs. The race supports student athletes across the Central Valley.

The event offers several participation options:

  • 5k Run/Walk: A chip-timed course that starts and finishes at the Mountain View Shelter with wave starts based on pace.
  • 2 Mile Walk: An untimed walk that begins after the 5k participants have started.
  • Virtual Run: A remote option where participants complete their own course on their own schedule.
  • Kids (0-4): A free entry option for young children accompanied by a parent, which does not include a shirt or medal.

Participants receive a long-sleeve Thanksgiving-themed shirt, a commemorative finisher medal, and a post-race treat. For virtual participants, shirts and medals are mailed within two weeks after the event date.

Registration discounts are available for groups. Family or group registrations of 4 to 10 people receive a 10% discount, while groups of 10 or more receive a 20% discount. The course is situated within Woodward Park in Fresno, California. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
