Clovis Turkey Day Run
The Clovis Turkey Day Run takes place in Old Town Clovis along Pollasky Ave. This annual event is a featured race in the Classic Runner of the Year Series, contributing 20 points toward the series standings. Participants gather on Thanksgiving morning to engage in various running and walking activities within the local community.
The event offers several participation options:
- 5k Run/Walk: A timed race for runners and walkers.
- 2k Walk (not timed): A 2 mile course where walkers begin their route after the 5k participants have started.
- Virtual Turkey Run: An option for individuals to complete their own course on their own schedule.
- Late Comers 5k: A timed category that includes participant food but does not include a shirt or medal.
Participants in the standard 5k and 2k categories receive a finisher medallion and an event shirt, both of which feature new designs every year. For those chooses the virtual option, the shirt and medallion are mailed directly to them within two weeks of the event date. Children aged 9 and under are eligible for discounted registration pricing. The event location provides free parking for all attendees.
