About the race
The San Joaquin River Trail race takes place at the S. Finegold Picnic Area in Friant, California, with courses that run along Millerton Lake and the San Joaquin River. The start and finish area is at the end of Sky Harbor Road; parking is located at the South Finegold Picnic Area.

Registration for the event opens on 12/20/2025 and closes on 04/30/2026. Packet pickup and race-day check in occur at the Start/Finish area; no race day entries are allowed.
Logistics specific to the 50K include pacers allowed at Mile 16 and crew access at the San Joaquin River Gorge Management Area near Ya Gub Weh Tuh Campground (Mile 14.5). Drop bags must be marked "Drop bags" with the bib number and will be available at the same campground.
Aid stations are placed at roughly five-mile intervals along the course and will provide water, sports drink, gels, fruit, snacks and basic first aid. Camping is available on the north side of Millerton Lake and near the 50K turnaround at the San Joaquin River Gorge Management Area; neither camping area is at the Start/Finish.
