The 5K course is described as super flat and is entirely inside Rock Creek Park. The 5K course is certified. Awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers in standard five-year age groups, beginning at 10 and under and continuing through 75 and older. All participants automatically qualify for one free entry into a Five Star Thanksgiving Turkey Trot in 2025.
Registration pricing and deadlines: regular registration ends February 14, 2026; late registration ends February 20, 2026; race day registration is available at higher fees. Virtual race registration closes February 14, 2026 and virtual packages are shipped the Monday after the event for continental US addresses. Participants who register by February 11 are guaranteed race swag in their size; thereafter swag is available while supplies last.
Event policies state that all registrations are final with no refunds, deferments, or transfers. The event is rain or shine except in extreme weather when organizers may cancel for safety; such cancellations do not result in refunds.
