SURF Board Popsicle 5K - Mocksville, NC
The SURF Board Popsicle 5K is a community fundraising event held on 02/13/2027 at Mocksville Elementary in Mocksville, North Carolina. Proceeds support youth-led grants and projects for children and young people in Davie County, organized by the Davie Community Foundation SURF (Students Understanding Real Futures) Board, a youth philanthropy board for high school students.
Event features and activities include:

Additional event elements: each participant receives a raffle ticket at packet pick up for prize drawings; a winter costume contest with a prize for the most creative chilly costume; a Brain Freeze Challenge where participants may eat a popsicle at the start, middle, and end of the course; childcare and activities for kids 8 and under provided by SURF students; post-race food and prize opportunities.
Registration and fees follow tiered pricing based on registration date. Sample fee tiers listed in event information include:
- Runner and Walker: early bird $15 through 10/31; then $20, $25, $30 with a Race Day fee of $35.
- Team registrants (minimum 5): early bird $10 through 10/31; higher tiers thereafter; Race Day $35.
- Davie County students and staff: reduced tiered fees.
- Zero K: $20.
