Freedom Run 5K - Dorr
The Freedom Run 5K is an evening community run and walk held at Dorr Township Park North in Dorr, MI on July 3, 2026. The event offers a night atmosphere with glow accessories provided and a recommendation to wear white or neon for visibility.
Available distances include:
- Run 5K: 3.1 miles
- Walk 5K: 3.1 miles
The course is described as flat and leaves from the North Park area, passes through town and neighborhood streets, and returns to the park. A water station is located at the 1.5 mile mark.
Finishers receive a medal. Awards are given to first place overall male and female, and to top finishers in each age category. Age groups for both male and female are: 14 and under, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 plus.
Registration opens October 26, 2025 and closes May 26, 2026; the listed registration fee is $35.00. Packet pickup is available the day of the race at the North Park pavilion. Event proceeds are donated to West Michigan Veterans Assistance. There is also an option to bring old shoes for Sneaker Impact donation.
