4th Annual Freedom Fun Run
The Freedom Fun Run is a community running event held on July 4 in Alexandria, Minnesota. The event features multiple distance options to accommodate different participants:
- 10 km Run
- 5 km Run
- 1 mile Kids Run
The courses for all distances start and end at Brophy Park. Participants travel along the Brophy Bike Trails, which feature rolling hills. The routes provide views of Lake Darling, Cowdry Lake, and Brophy Lake.
Event logistics are centered at the Brophy Pavilion, where registration and check-in take place. Facilities at the park include indoor bathrooms, though locker rooms and showers are not provided on-site. Participants may access these facilities at a nearby YMCA.
The event is hosted by Alexandria Community Christian School (ACCS). The proceeds from the run are dedicated to supporting K-12 Christian education. Packet pick-up is scheduled for the evening before the race on July 3, as well as on the morning of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
