Event overview
Awake the Grapes is the 15th annual vineyard run held on May 24, 2026 at Carlos Creek Winery in Alexandria, Minnesota. The event is organized by Awake The Grapes with support from the Kiwanis Club of Alexandria and the Alexandria Figure Skating Club. The event features on-site activities including the Carlos Creek Winery tasting room, food vendors, a local brewery, and live music. An awards ceremony is scheduled to take place outside the winery tasting room after the races.
Course, distances and entries

- 10k
The 5k course winds around the Carlos Creek Winery property and through onsite vineyards. The 10k course runs through the winery vineyards, out to County Road 34, along the east side of Lake Ida, east on County Road 61 to County Road 34, and returns to the winery. Both courses include paved, gravel, and cross-country terrain. Medals will be presented to the top place in each age group for male and female runners in both distances, and overall top male and female awards will be given for each race. Registrations completed before May 3 receive an event t-shirt; registrations after May 3 receive a drink ticket. A donation option is available to receive a shirt without running.
