Awake the Grapes Vineyard Run
Awake the Grapes is the 15th annual vineyard run held on May 24, 2026 at Carlos Creek Winery in Alexandria, Minnesota. The event offers two race distances:
- 5K
- 10K
The day includes vendors, live music, and a post-race awards ceremony held outside the winery tasting room.
Course, awards and registration
The 5K course runs around the Carlos Creek Winery property and through onsite vineyards. The 10K course runs through the vineyards, out to County Road 34, along the east side of Lake Ida, east on County Road 61 to County Road 34, and back to the winery. Each course includes paved, gravel, and cross-country terrain.
Medals are presented to the top place in each age range for male and female runners in both the 5K and 10K. Overall top male and female awards are also presented for each distance.
Registrations completed before midnight on May 3 receive an event t-shirt; registrations after that date receive a drink ticket. A donation registration option is available for those who do not run but wish to receive an event t-shirt. The event is hosted by Kiwanis and the Alexandria Figure Skating Club.
