Freedom Eagle Syracuse 5K Run
The Freedom Eagle Syracuse 5K Run is an annual athletic event held in Liverpool, New York. The 2026 edition marks the third year of this event, which takes place along the East Shore of Onondaga Lake. The run is organized by Beastmode Running in partnership with Team RWB, an organization dedicated to supporting veterans and military families through fitness and community programs.
Participants can choose from two primary formats:
- Freedom Eagle 5k (In-Person)
- Freedom Eagle 5k (Virtual)
The in-person 5 km course is a flat, certified out and back route. It begins at Willow Bay within Onondaga Lake Park, proceeds toward the Yacht Club for a turnaround, and concludes back at Willow Bay. The race headquarters is situated at the Sawmill Creek Pavilion. To reach the starting area, participants enter the park via Long Branch Road.
The virtual option allows participants to complete the distance at a location of their choosing. Those registered for the virtual event can submit their results manually through their athlete profile or via email and text message notifications.
Registered participants receive a race shirt and a medal. The first 50 people to sign up also receive commemorative socks. Accessories such as event-themed hats are available for purchase. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
