Frederick Running Festival Preview Run

The Frederick Running Festival Preview Run is a group training run. It takes place two weeks before the main race day. The event is organized by the Frederick Steeplechasers Running Club in coordination with Corrigan Sports Enterprises.

The run covers a 12-mile route that previews much of the main race course. It passes through Historic Downtown Frederick. A detailed route map with turn-by-turn directions is available online.

This is a casual, free, and public run. It is not timed and does not take place on a closed course. Participants must obey all traffic laws and are advised to run on sidewalks where available.

Support includes turn-by-turn directions and a mid-course water stop. Post-run refreshments and breakfast are provided by a local running store. The Frederick Visitor Center serves as the start and finish location, offering restrooms and a place to warm up. Parking is available in the lot next to the Visitor Center and in a ramp across the street.

Participants are asked to run at their own risk and are welcome regardless of ability or pace. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
