Frederick Running Festival Preview Run - Overview
The Frederick Running Festival Preview Run is a supported on-course training run on April 18, 2026 in Frederick, MD. It is hosted by the Frederick Steeplechasers Running Club (FSRC) in coordination with Corrigan Sports Enterprises. The route covers 12 miles and is intended to preview much of the race course and parts of Historic Downtown Frederick. The event is free and open to the public; registration opens March 15, 2026. The run is a casual group event and is not timed.
Logistics and safety
The meeting location is the Frederick Visitor Center, 151 East St, Frederick, MD 21701. The Visitor Center will offer information, restrooms, and a place to warm up after the run. Participants are asked to park in the lot next to the Visitor Center but not in designated visitor spots; a parking ramp is available across the street if needed. The Steeplechasers will provide turn-by-turn directions and a mid-course water stop. Charm City Run Frederick will provide post-run refreshments and breakfast at their store. The run is not on a closed course; runners must obey all traffic laws, use sidewalks where available, and run against traffic if they enter the roadway.
