Event Details
The Frederick Running Festival Preview Run is a training run held two weeks before the Frederick Running Festival race day. It is hosted by the Frederick Steeplechasers Running Club in coordination with Corrigan Sports Enterprises. The event takes place in Frederick, Maryland.
The Run
The route is a 12-mile supported training run designed to preview much of the main race course and the Historic Downtown Frederick area. The run is not timed and does not take place on a closed course. Participants must obey all traffic laws and are advised to use sidewalks where available.
Support & Amenities
The run is free and open to the public. The Frederick Steeplechasers Running Club provides turn-by-turn directions and a mid-course water stop. Post-run refreshments and breakfast are provided at the Charm City Run Frederick store. The start and finish location is the Frederick Visitor Center, which offers restrooms and a space to warm up.
Logistics
Parking is available in the lot next to the Frederick Visitor Center, with participants asked to avoid designated visitor spots. An additional parking ramp is located across the street if the main lot is full. The run is described as a casual group activity, and participants run at their own risk.
