Frederick Market Street Mile
The Frederick Market Street Mile is a collection of one mile running events held in Frederick, Maryland on September 12, 2026 at the Frederick YMCA, 1000 N. Market St. The race program includes separate divisions for women's, men's, non binary, youth, fun, and family mile events. All competitive divisions are one mile in distance.
Registration opens April 1, 2026. Registration deadlines and entry fees vary by division: Women's Mile, Men's Mile, Non Binary Mile, Fun Mile, and Family Mile close August 4, 2026 with fees of $20 for single-entrant miles and $25 for the family entry. The Youth Mile, for ages 13 and under, closes September 9, 2026 and carries a $10 fee. The Fun Mile is designated as a non-competitive untimed event. The Family Mile requires a team name and lists all family members under a single registration fee.
The event is organized by the Frederick Steeplechasers Running Club, which has supported running and community volunteering since 1975. The Market Street Mile is included as a feature race in both the Frederick Steeplechasers Grand Prix series and the Maryland RRCA Grand Prix series. Runners who are members of a Maryland RRCA running club or of DC Road Runners should provide their club affiliation during registration.
