The Freakin Freezin 5K is scheduled for January 23, 2027, at Thomas B. Mack Park in Lakeland, Florida. The event uses the path around Lake Hollingsworth to form a looped course described as scenic and fast.

All finishers receive a finisher medal. Awards are given to the Top 3 Overalls, Top 3 Masters, Top 3 Grand Masters, Top 3 Senior Masters, and in five-year age groups. Virtual participants may run where and when they choose, submit their time after finishing, and will be sent event swag and any age-group awards they earn.
