About the race

The Freakin Freezin 5K is a winter running event held on January 3, 2027, at The Monroe, 300 Colonial Homes Dr NW, Atlanta, GA 30309, next to the Bobby Jones Golf Course. The course is described as a scenic, fast out and back route that is almost entirely on the Atlanta BeltLine and is generally flat.

The event includes multiple participation options and finishes with medals for all finishers. Organizers list awards for Top 3 overall men and women, Top 3 overall masters men and women, Top 3 overall grand masters men and women, Top 3 overall senior grand masters men and women, and top three in five-year age groups.

Registration details are provided for each option. Registration opens on August 4, 2026 and closes on August 28, 2026. Listed registration fees are $30.00 for the standard 5K, $25.00 for the 5K No Shirt option, and $30.00 for the Virtual 5K. Virtual participants may run where and when they choose, submit a time, and receive swag and any earned age-group awards by mail.
