Event Overview
The Fox Trot 5K & 1 Mile Bark in the Park is a running and walking event on Saturday, September 26, 2026. It is the 6th annual edition of the event and is located in the scenic hills of Northeastern Maryland.

Location and Access
The race takes place on the grounds of the Maryland 5 Star at Fair Hill, specifically in the Sawmill area of the Special Event Zone within the Fair Hill Natural Resources Management Area in Elkton, MD. The location has changed from prior years.
Parking is located in the Sawmill Preferred Parking Lot. All vehicles must enter via Gate 4 off Gallaher Road, which is monitored by local police. Drivers should look for event flags on Route 273 and Gallaher Road.
Registration and Perks
Registration for the 5K is priced at $40 (not including processing fees). Registration for the 1 Mile Bark in the Park is priced at $25 (not including processing fees). With the purchase of a race bib, participants receive a t-shirt, a swag bag that includes a seedling tree, one complimentary Sunday General Admission ticket to the Maryland 5 Star at Fair Hill, and a discount code for additional tickets.
Beneficiary and Awards
