Fox Trot 5K & 1 Mile Bark in the Park
The event takes place Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Fair Hill Nature Center, 630 Tawes Drive, Elkton, MD. It includes a 5K run/walk and a separate 1 Mile Bark in the Park walk for participants with dogs. Registration opens March 23, 2026, and early bird pricing is available through July 31, 2026.

With a race or walk bib, participants receive a t-shirt and a swag bag that includes a seedling tree provided by Bartlett Tree Experts. Age-bracket winners receive prizes provided by W. L. Gore and a custom Fair Hill Nature Center medal. Parking is located in the Upper Covered Bridge lot directly across from the Nature Center.
Fair Hill Nature Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides hands-on environmental education to approximately 7,500 elementary students from Maryland, Delaware, and Pennsylvania each school year. Grade-level field trips cover water quality for 5th grade, soil science for 4th grade, ecosystems for 3rd grade, insects for 2nd grade, and hibernation for Kindergarten. Approximately 58% of students served are economically disadvantaged and 17% are disabled. Event registration supports the Nature Center's education programs.
