Fowl Fun Run 10K
The Fowl Fun Run is an event held in Mount Vernon, Washington. This is the 48th annual edition.
Participants can choose from two distances:
- 10 km run
- 5 km run/walk
The 10 km and 5 km courses use flat, low-traffic farm roads in the Skagit Valley.
The event includes a free half-mile kids' run for participants aged 8 and under. Children must be registered in person for this run.
Post-race, traditional pumpkin pie is available as a treat. Every participant receives a finisher's medal. Special awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each distance. A unique feature is the "Beat the Turkey" challenge, where a participant dressed as Tom Turkey starts the 10K five minutes after the main start. Finishing the 10K ahead of this runner earns a special award.
Packet pickup is available on the Friday before the race at Skagit Running Company in Mount Vernon. There are discounts for students aged 18 or younger and 70 or older, as well as for active-duty military, veterans, and first responders using a provided code. A long-sleeve event shirt is available for purchase.
The event is organized by Skagit Runners and is part of a multi-race bundle called "Conquer the Valley," which offers a discount for registering for four different Skagit Valley races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
