Fountains Abbey Wild Trail Runs : Fountains Abbey, Ripon
Fountains Abbey Wild Trail Runs take place on 28 February 2027 at Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Garden near Ripon, North Yorkshire. The site is a World Heritage Site with history dating back to 1132.
Distances offered are:
- 5km Trail Run (Ages 11+)
- 10km Trail Run (Ages 15+)
- Half Marathon Trail Run (Ages 17+)
Scenic routes incorporate sections of the Deer Park, the Water Garden, and the Abbey. The event is canicross friendly: one well controlled dog per runner is allowed and dogs must remain on a lead at all times.
Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North, with instant race results. All distances have a three hour cut off time. Finishers receive a bespoke event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a snack and drink. A custom event T shirt is available as an add on for £12 during registration.
Parking is available on site at £4 per vehicle and car parking passes can be purchased during registration. Entry fees range from £22 to £28 depending on distance and rate. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
