About the race
Fountains Abbey Wild Trail Runs takes place on Sunday 28 February 2027 at Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal Water Garden, Ripon, North Yorkshire. The event is organised by Wild Deer Events and uses scenic routes that include sections of the Deer Park, the Water Garden, and the Abbey.
Distances:
- 5km Trail Run (Ages 11+)
- 10km Trail Run (Ages 15+)
- Half Marathon Trail Run (Ages 17+)
The event is canicross friendly: one well controlled dog per runner is allowed and dogs must remain on a lead at all times. Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North and race results are issued instantly. All distances have a three hour cut off time.
Finishers receive a bespoke event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a snack and drink. Runners can add a custom event T shirt to an entry for £14.00 during registration. Parking is available on site for £4 per vehicle; a car parking pass can be purchased with registration.
