FOTA’s 2026 Wild Transplant Adventure Fun Run/Walk
FOTA’s Wild Transplant Adventure Fun Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Zoo Miami in Miami, FL 33177. The event is offered as a hybrid format with an in-person option at Zoo Miami and a virtual option for participants who prefer to walk or run elsewhere on the same day.
The in-person event features a 2-mile fun race through the park before public opening and a private event field with event t-shirt and medal, refreshments, a photo booth, music and games. Virtual participants receive the event t-shirt and medal by mail and can download a personalized bib to use with their chosen course or treadmill session.
Registration is listed at $40. Participants who fundraise can earn incentives; raising $100 triggers an automatic refund of the registration fee. Additional fundraising tiers include a $250 level that awards a one year family membership to Zoo Miami, a $500 level that provides a wine party for up to ten people, and a top fundraiser prize package available to those who reach at least $1,000. The event is organized by the Florida Organ Transplant Association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2002 that focuses on patient services, education, and funding research for the transplant community.
