Run to Back the Blue & Red 5K
Run to Back the Blue & Red is a community 5K event held on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at Generations Park at Bedford Boys Ranch, 2801 Forest Ridge Drive, Bedford TX 76021. The event is hosted by the Bedford Citizens Fire & Police Academy Alumni Associations, which are 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. All funds raised will be used to support the City of Bedford Police and Fire Departments. The distance is 5K (3.1 miles).
Entry fees listed for the event include Adult registration at $35, Teen registration at $15 for ages 13 through 16, and Kids registration at $10 for ages 12 and under. There is a $2 upcharge for XXL or 3XL T-shirts. The event notes that there are no transaction or credit card fees for registration.
Packet pickup is available at Bedford Fire Station 1 and also at the race site on race day. The course runs on tree lined streets. Free parking is provided, and the event includes a water stop on course plus water and fruit at the finish line. Race T-shirts are available for sale on race day. Timing will be chip based and awards will be presented overall male and female and male and female age groups, three deep, in age ranges 5-12, 13-16, 17-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
