Run to Back the Blue & Red 5K
Run to Back the Blue & Red is a community 5K held on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at Generations Park at Bedford Boys Ranch in Bedford, Texas. The event is hosted by the Bedford Citizens Fire & Police Academy Alumni Associations, nonprofit organizations, and proceeds will support the City of Bedford Police and Fire Departments.
The event distance is 5K (3.1 miles) on tree lined streets. Course features include a water stop on the route, water and fruit at the finish area, free parking, and race t-shirts available for purchase on race day.
Registration options and fees vary by age group. Adult registration is $30 with an early bird rate through October 18, 2026, and $35 after that date. Teen registration (ages 13 through 16) is $15. Child registration (12 and under) is $10. XXL and 3XL shirts carry a separate $2 upcharge. There are no transaction or credit card fees. Online registration is available through November 8, 2026. Race shirt size and availability are only guaranteed for registrations completed by October 25, 2026.
Packet pickup is available on November 12 and November 13 at Bedford Fire Station 1 in the vehicle bay area, and packets are also available at the race site on event day.
Awards are given to overall male and female finishers and to male and female age groups, three deep, across the listed age divisions. The race will be chip timed by Cox Racing Services. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
