Event Overview

The Fort Steilacoom Resolution Series is a winter running event held on three Saturdays in January, February, and March 2026. The events take place at Fort Steilacoom Park in Lakewood, Washington.

Distances and Series

The series consists of individual races on each date.

  • January: 5K and 10K
  • February: 5K, 10K, and 15K
  • March: 5K, 10K, and 20K

Participants can also register for series bundles: a 5K Series (three 5K races), a 10K Series (three 10K races), or a Progression Series (10K, 15K, 20K). Bundling three individual events provides a discount.

Registration and Fees

Pre-registration is available until the Wednesday before each event. Individual race fees are $30 for the 5K and $35 for all other distances. A discounted rate is available for participants aged 19 and under. Event insurance, offering a refund for covered reasons, is available at checkout. Day-of-race registration is offered at a higher fee.

Course and Logistics

All events use a flat 5K loop within the park. The course is 95% paved and 5% packed trail. An aid station with water, electrolytes, and restrooms is accessible at the end of each loop. Parking is available on-site. Packet pickup and day-of registration begin one hour before the start. All races have a combined start.

Awards and Amenities

Participants who complete two or more events receive a custom finisher's medal. Age group ribbons are awarded for the top three in each category. Overall winners in each distance receive awards.
