Race Overview

The Fort Morgan to Florida 50k is a point-to-point ultramarathon along Alabama's coastline. The race begins at the far west point of the Fort Morgan Peninsula and finishes at the Florida State Line near the Flora-Bama bar and venue.

Course Details

The entire 50 km (approximately 32 mile) course is run on the sand beaches of the Gulf Coast. The route goes from untouched, driftwood-strewn beaches to more populated resort areas. There are two mandatory bridge crossings where runners must leave the sand; leaving the sand at any other point is not permitted. The official route is within the mean tidal range of the beach. According to the event, there are six aid stations and three restroom spots along the course.

Logistics

There is a one-mile walk from the shuttle drop-off point to the official race start at Fort Morgan. Shuttle buses will be available to transport runners from the finish area at Flora-Bama to the Fort Morgan Public Boat Launch before the race.
