Battle of Mobile Bay 5K
The Battle of Mobile Bay 5K is a road race organized by Port City Pacers on February 27, 2027 at Fort Gaines on Dauphin Island, AL. The course is certified (AL19007JE) and runs through the neighborhoods of Dauphin Island. Post race activities take place inside Fort Gaines where food and beverages are provided.
Registration options include pre-registration by mail or in person at McCoy Outdoor, Run-N-Tri, or Fleet Feet in Mobile until noon on the Thursday before the race, and online registration which closes at 6 AM the Friday before the race. Early packet pick-up and late registration are handled at the Port City Pacers clubhouse at 358 Morgan Avenue in Mobile; race day packet pick-up is outside Fort Gaines.
Fee levels are listed separately for Port City Pacers members and non members: member adult and child rates apply, non member adult and day of race rates apply, and a no shirt option reduces the fee by $2. To guarantee a shirt on race day, applications and fees must be submitted by February 13; shirts after that date are available while supplies last and will not be reordered.
The event benefits Friends of Fort Gains, Dauphin Island, AL. Awards include top male and female overall, masters 40 plus, grandmasters 50 plus, senior grandmasters 60 plus, wheelchair, walker, and the top three male and female in five year age groups.
