The event is located at Fort Gordon in Augusta, Georgia. The race site and check-in point is at 25th Street and Barton Field, specifically at the Softball Complex on Barton Field. Parking is available along Barton Field and at other specified facilities on base, including the Indoor Pool, Signal Theater, Luketina Hall, and Snyder Dental. This is an untimed fun run, and there are no competitive awards. All participants receive a finisher medal upon completion. The event welcomes runners and walkers of all ages and athletic abilities.

A key requirement for participants without a Department of Defense pass is that they must preregister for a visitor pass at least 24 hours in advance through the official base visitor information system to gain access to Fort Gordon for the event.
